Adding by replying to the email
If the invite came to you by email, you can add without opening anything: reply to it, and what you send goes on the wall as you.
What to attach
Reply to the invite, or to a nudge about the same wall, from the address it came to.
- A photo and a line. Attach one photo and write your line in the reply. The photo becomes your square, with your words under it.
- A photo alone. It goes up with your name.
- Words alone. Write a line and send. It becomes a line square, up to 200 characters.
- A voice memo. Attach one under a minute long from your phone's recorder. The first ten seconds of it go up as a voice note; a longer memo comes back.
If you attach more than one photo, the first is used, and a photo with a voice memo goes up as the photo. Your signature and the email you are replying to are left out, so only your own words go up.
What happens next
Once your square is up, a reply comes back in the same thread: it is on the wall, with your photo or line and your name. It says who the wall is for and that they see who, not what, until it opens. See the wall opens it; Change it brings you back to your square.
When it does not work
Something that cannot be placed, a file the wall cannot show or a mail with nothing in it, comes back with a short line asking you to use the link instead. A wall that is full still takes your square and holds it for the person who made it, and a wall with approval on keeps it waiting for them; no confirmation comes until it goes up. A wall that has stopped taking squares sends your mail back too.
